Biography:
Nickson Fong is a director and producer, who has won the Academy Award for Scientific and Technical Achievement for co-inventing the technology, "Pose Space Deformation," which revolutionized character animation in Hollywood's blockbuster movies. His first live-action feature film, "Bashira," is a horror supernatural movie driven by electronic music with a diverse cast. Nickson also founded Egg Story Studios, a content creation company in Singapore, which produced award-winning commercials for Singapore Navy, Nokia, and Unilever's Paddle Pop. He expanded his business to Beijing and worked on "Sunshine Robbers" and "Lost in Indian Ocean." Nickson has also ventured into education and founded Egg Story Digital Arts School in 2007. Prior to this, he worked for various Hollywood studios, including DreamWorks SKG, Sony Pictures Imageworks, and ESC Entertainment. He has supervised technical direction and effects for movies such as “Godzilla,” "Shrek," "The Matrix Reloaded," and "The Matrix Revolutions."
